Visocica
The mountain is notable for its medieval tombstones called Stećci which are grouped in necropoli and have medieval inscriptions in Bosnian Cyrilic with unique messages and emblems and ornaments. The history of these Stećci tombstones date back to the 15th century and are a tale to be told. The tour takes us through the city of Konjic and onto the majestic mountain of Visočica. The mountain is surrounded by rivers Ljuta, Rakitnica and Neretva river. The mountain itself is part of the Dinaric Alps and got its name (Visočica in Bosnian means tall) from its many peaks: Džamija (1974 m.), Vito (1960 m.), Veliko Ljeljen (1963 m.), Crveni Kuk (1733 m.) and Veliko Toholj (1837 m.). The mountain has seen its fair share of combat at its base.
